- MedCommsTech is a freelance collective that brings together a highly skilled and diverse group of freelance medical writers, helping clients to find the right medical writer at the right time.
- There is no fee to identify freelancers and no cost to the freelancers.
- Individuals can liaise with each other directly without having to use a specific platform.
- Our joining criteria ensure that all MedCommsTech members are experienced and trusted freelance medical writers (members must have 7 or more years of medical writing experience and be recommended by a current member who has previously worked with them in a medical or value communications role).
- For end-end project support, we also have a network of trusted Partners (freelancers in creative design, editorial services, business strategy and client services, and training and coaching).

- You can contact us to let us know about your specific medical writing needs (e.g., project type, topic, start and end date, estimated time needed for project). Your message will be shared with all the freelance medical writers in MedCommsTech. You will then receive an email with the name, profile, and email address of any freelance medical writer(s) with the relevant expertise and availability. You can contact the freelance medical writer(s) directly if you are interested in working with them.
How much do you charge for finding a freelance writer for my project?
- There is no charge from MedCommsTech for helping you find a freelance medical writer.
- All medical writing work is charged on a freelance basis under the medical writers’ own rates and terms. Once a freelancer has been identified for your project, please contact them directly to find out their rates and terms.
How can I contact a specific member of MedCommsTech?
- You can contact a specific member of MedCommsTech by sending them a message through LinkedIn. You can find links to members’ LinkedIn pages on the Home and Profile pages. You can also send an enquiry for specific members to info@medcommstech.com or via the contact form, which will then be shared with the individual medical writer(s).

I am a freelance medical writer – how can I join MedCommsTech and what are the benefits?
- To join MedCommsTech, you need to have 7 or more years of medical writing experience and be recommended by a current member of MedCommsTech who has previously worked with you in a medical or value communications role.
- The benefits of joining include a support network of experienced professionals across the globe, the opportunity for collaboration, and the option to contribute to blogs and articles on our website and social media. Please note that MedCommsTech is not an agency and does not hire or employ medical writers.
I work as a freelancer in medical communications, but I am not a medical writer – can I join MedCommsTech?
- Freelancers who work in creative design, editorial services, business strategy and client services, or training and coaching can join the MedCommsTech Partners group if they are recommended by a member of the MedCommsTech collective or an existing MedCommsTech Partner.
