Why should I be interested in this survey?
Freelance medical writing professionals represent an important component of the scientific team for many medical and value communications agencies, and pharmaceutical companies. But are your skills and experience being used to their full potential? We hope that understanding your perspective will help enhance the client-freelancer relationship and maximise the value of your role.
What is different about this survey?
This survey focuses on the experience, motivations and value of freelance medical writing professionals, and also explores perspectives on future directions in medical and value communications.
How will my answers be used?
Your responses are anonymous and the data gathered will be aggregated, although we may pull out free-text comments for context. However, it will not be possible to associate individuals with the answers.
When does the survey close?
The survey will be open until 25 September 2024.
Where will the data be presented?
The data will be included in an abstract to be submitted to ISMPP EU 2025. If the abstract is accepted by ISMPP, collated data will be presented at ISMPP EU 2025 in London. There may be potential to present the data elsewhere in future and/or to use the data as a baseline for follow-up surveys.
Who are the authors?
The authors include freelance medical writing professionals from the MedCommsTech Medical Writers Collective and representatives from Galanthus Scientific, a medical communications company championing freelance medical writing support.
